Day 1 and my Tooth is Broken

Morning #1, first thought ... I am going to run out of toothpaste.

I thought I would start my first morning of blogging off with laying out a bit of who I am and what a day in the life of Sam looks like. I have several things I want to make sure I talk about in day 1 but as I now think about it, its 7:10 and I still need to pack my packsack, bundle up and walk to work. So this is going to be a short one.

As my bio has already told you, my name is Samantha Gould, I am a social worker in our community working with individuals 12 and over in the area of Mental Health and Addictions. Outside of work I am a partner, daughter, sister and dog-mom. I live in a 3 bedroom, 1 and half bathroom house in the downtown area. Together my partner Jordan and I spend around 150.00 on groceries a week, we do our best to buy mostly fruits and veggies. We have recently started buying all our meat from the Cloverbelt Local Food Co-op and have been working on cooking larger crock-pot dinners and freezing extras for single meals. We work hard to be realistic about our spending but budgeting is something we (mostly I, I'm sure Jordan would say) struggle with.
I have some dietary restraints that often cost me extra, I am lactose intolerant, am allergic to bakers yeast and have recently realized am sensitive to citrus.

On a usual day I start my morning with brushing my teeth with my ridiculously expensive (thank you shoppers optimum points) toothbrush, I make my spinach, apple, yogurt, oatmeal, chia, almond milk smoothie, while letting my car warm up using my command start. At work I make a keurig starbucks coffee with almond coffee creamer and organic honey before facing the day.
I always come home for lunch to let Lucy (our dachshund) out, make something warm to eat and watch an episode of whatever TV show I feel like, choosing between Netflix and Crave TV.
In the evening I cook dinner, watch TV or lock myself in our office to get try and get some school work done if are aren't out with friends or family.

**I know am leaving out 1000 luxuries I'm sure, as I recognize them over the next 5 days I will add them in.

So there is a quick snapshot of what a day in my life usually looks like. I will leave details of who I am to later, I am sure you will figure out my dramatic, goofy nature as you read along.

Lastly this morning I want to post todays challenge. My challenge card reads "Your tooth broke. It is very painful. Take action."

OUCH! Thankfully I have my morning staff meeting today so I will be turning to my amazing team of social workers to help me problem solve this one - I will report back later.

I am going to do my best to add photos (and maybe a few meme's) as I go along.

Jordan, Sam and Lucy on Christmas Morning:
